Recent rebuild
During 2021 we will reach the end of a ten-year long recovery from the Canterbury earthquakes.
We now have a 100% purpose-built spaces to learn in. Ngā Puna was opened in 2008. Makomako was opened in 2010, and Ngā Awa was opened in 2020.
Mana Whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Waimairi School recognises Ngāi Tahu as Mana Whenua and we consult with the Ngāi Tūāhuriri Education Committee as part of our commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Kete o Aoraki.

…then their development is turbocharged. At Waimairi we have a long-term critical friend relationship with leading New Zealand educator Pam Hook. She regularly meets with our staff to help them deepen learning outcomes for our students.
